In May 2023, Hongdi debuted her inaugural collection, 'Keep Moving,' at ARTEFACT, the Contemporary Craft Fair during London Craft Week. Her creations are inspired by repurposing marble cut-offs and employing innovative metalwork, harnessing constant motion and changing light. For each design, geometric shapes are strategically laid out to capture the marble's natural vein and flux. The collection showcases nonconformist shapes, reminiscent of planetary colours and textures, resulting in a dynamic and unique polychrome range that harmoniously merges traditional stone craft with modern techniques.

Founded by architect Hongdi Li, Studio Lux is an architectural and artistic hybrid practice based in London and Shanghai that combines 3D design, computer-controlled metal cutting, and meticulous material selection. Informed by architectural approaches, her studio's multifaceted portfolio embraces architecture, installation, landscape, and product design, celebrating traditional crafts and spatial DNA.

Drawing inspiration from the planets orbiting the sun, Planets is an exquisite mirror by Studio Lux. Meticulously crafted with repurposed marble, each hemisphere on the mirror portrays a planet, embodying unique planetary traits via its veins, size, and texture.

Designed by London-based architect Hongdi Li, as a part of the 'Keep Moving' collection of pieces, the work draws inspiration from planets, skilfully capturing their energy of spatial motion and the essence of gravity.

Each rug is handknotted using the finest natural Himalayan wool and sourced from the surrounding areas of the studio’s atelier in Kathmandu, Nepal. No machines are used and everything is handmade by expert artisans following ancient traditional techniques. Every rug passes through many hands. The raw materials are first carded and hand-spun by one team, dyed by a master colour expert, knotted by Tibetan artisans and finished by a team of expert craftspeople who shave, trim and bind the final piece.

Grounded in the belief to preserve the eternal value and beauty of the stone, Paula and Shilpa partnered with Simeg Marmi, an Italian marble company, to provide their artists access to redundant marble chunks for creative repurposing. Stone Stackers exclusively uses natural stone and minimises the use of heavy machinery in the creation or refining process, instead favouring hand-wrought techniques. The assembling process unfolds naturally and spontaneously, influenced by the distinct characteristics of the broken slabs, preventing precise replication of the pieces.

Yarn is sun-dried and dyed to over 3000 colours and hand-knotted by skilled weavers, a process that can take up to a year. Methodological washing and Gultarash techniques further enhance the rug's quality and finish, resulting in textural masterpieces that showcase the splendour of Persian and Tibetan knots.
